Most homeowners only think about their air conditioning twice: 1). when it stops working and they need a repair, or 2). when it’s time to buy a new one.

We talk to people in both categories every day in the summer. The conversation almost always starts the same way: “AC blowing warm air.” “Something’s wrong, I don’t know what.” “My thermostat stopped working.”

This page addresses those conversations — the ones we’ve had with Lincoln homeowners over the last 56 years. It isn’t a sales pitch. We’d rather help you figure out what’s going on before you decide whether to call us, our competitor, or nobody at all.

Air conditioning repair is more straightforward than the industry makes it sound. A residential AC system has maybe a dozen components that can fail, and the symptoms narrow down the suspects fast. What follows is what we’ve learned in three generations of doing this work in Lincoln — organized by what you’re probably experiencing right now.

Excellent service, on the weekend too! Woke up to my house at 58° on a Saturday morning and called Harley’s, they showed up and had my heater working within 3 hours from my call! The communication from Harley’s is very good. I received a breakdown on the phone of fees and when I could expect my service technician, a short time later I received a text telling me my technician was on the way with a photo of who I could expect to see at my door. Mr. Shortridge was very nice and informative telling me what he was seeing and how he was going to fix the issue. Now my heater is up and working and I’m able to move around the house without full winter gear on.
